The great club is far lighter (12 vs. 22). The hammer has slightly higher base damage (like maybe 5 more at a given upgrade level), but only scales at B off strength against A for the club. You need 46 str to use the hammer, so at that str level the scaling will way more than compensate in favor of the club. The club only requires 28 str to wield.

Morningstar- important if you want to add bleed to a STR build. generally worse scaling than Mace Pickaxe- faster than a mace, with a surprising amount of power for such a "small" weapon.5.
